"AHOY!" Join us for the 50th annual Windjammer Days Festival June 26 and 27. Watch the stately windjammers sail in to Boothbay Harbor, see the antique boat parade and the lively street parade. There will be fireworks, concerts, and lots more.

It's going to be a great year for the Boothbay Region Botanical Gardens. Just a few of the many events to look forward to ....

The DaPonte String Quartet will be playing seven concert dates this summer.

Plein Air Artists Days are May 28-June 3. Artists are invited to register in advance to paint en plein air in the Gardens. Works will be on exhibit June 11-29.

A Bloomin' Good Time. July 26. At this annual fundraiser enjoy gourment hors d'oeuvres and cocktails. Fantastic items at the silent and live auctions.

Maine Fairy House Festival. August 3-5. Enjoy seeing our little fairy dancers in wings and tutus (and wellies if the ground is wet) flit around among the fairy houses.

THE OPERA HOUSE

The Boothbay Opera House wowed a lot of people last summer with a variety of preformances. This season will include Loudon Wainwright, The Amazing Kreskin, Tim Sample, Lincoln Arts Jazz Weekend July 20-21, Livingston Taylor, and the Portland String Quartet. This "saved" and renovated Opera House is a treasure in our community.

Mike and De have lived in East Boothbay for 17 years and know all the great things to do. They are happy to help with advice on what to see, what to do, where to eat, where to shop ... all the wonderful activities the area has to offer. They are pleased to furnish maps for day trips, hikes, walks, and bicycling. They'll tell you their favorite restaurants for lobster (and how to eat it!), the best rooftop bar, where to buy a lobster buoy, and the best place to just hang out (the hammock on the front porch of the inn!)
